I have had constipation for more than ONE MONTH. I have gone but i need laxative to go. THIS IS NOT NORMAL. The doctor told me i just need to exersise more and eat fiber, TWICE. WHAT THE HELL?!? I do not think this is a small thing, but what do i know? i need help. I have even thought about stopping eating so i dont have to deal with it.
I AM 14 YEARS OLD AND THIS IS PISSING ME OFF.
Make sure to drink lots of water and eat veggies and roughage. Don’t use laxatives regularly or your system will not work without them.You can use a fiber pill for a while until your body gets straightened out but stay away from the laxatives.Water helps a lot and exercises will also. Best wishes.

The doctor is right, and obviously you are not taking him seriously enough.
Make a point to eat two large bowls of grapenuts every day and do some stair stepping for at least thirty minutes at a gym, and I think that this will fix you right up.
Also, you might want to get some honey to put on that grapenuts, otherwise its really bland.

FIBER, and take 2 tablespoons of mineral oil every 24-26 hours. That helps bowel movments. Otherwise go to your docter and ask for a colon screening.

Although your doc is right about the fiber I do not agree with just leaving you at that. Go to another doc and get a second opinion. That’s always the best way to go. Get more opinions.

Yes eating more fibre can help. But remember at the same time you need to take more fluid. Take more water + more fiber can help you in your constipation.
If you just take more fiber and then you did not take enough fluid, it will actually exacerbate your situation, making you more constipate.
Always start with non-pharmacologic method first.
Taking laxative on the long run will actually harm you, in another words there would be side effects.
You should never stop eating as it will give you other trouble , e.g. malnutrition. That is even worst than constipation.
anyway, its been a month for your constipation. please go and consult your doctor again.

ONE THING TO DO…IS NOT TOO PUSH! You will then end up with hemmoroids (piles)..which is the internal viens of the inside of your anal passage..and they can be very sore!
You could be suffering a form of IBS (irratible bowel syndrom).. with this you suffer constipation/diahhorea..either or .. or both.. At your age, I had your problem and had a nema (water based liquid something or other hosed up your bazookie)! not nice, but cleaned out my system! You must eat fibre/veg/fruit and drinks lots of water… also as opposed to laxative pills (which aren’t good for you and can coz pain)…alternative is lactoluse liquid (tastes nice) and also fibregel/movacol..which are sachets you add to water..(i’m in UK) if you not, ask you doc for equivalent. Also, finally, the position, we sit on the toilet pan, is not ideal for poo-ing. Try raising your legs, if required, stand up over pan and also you can (don’t laugh)..massage your but cheeks..pulling them apart.. it works! I’m assuming the lethargy(tiredness) and bloatedness and pain you are feeling you’d try anything.. but PLEASE DON’T PUSH!! Speak to doctor/parents/guardians etc..

Try eating alot of fruit and vegetables. Maybe some Metamucil powder. Prunes are an excellent way to have a regular movement. Exercise is always important in any situation. Try drinking more warm fluids throughout the day. Sometimes warm liquid will loosen up your bowels. If these things don’t help, theres always suppositories or enemas. Hang in there.

Drink water, don’t stress, get enough sleep. If you seriously try that, you should see results pretty soon (within a few days 2-4 I’d say). Make sure you’re getting 64 oz of water, but space it out throughout the day. If you still can’t, have you doctor put you on a small dose of Lactulose to help get things going again. IMO your doctor should put you on a regular laxative solution for a week or two. If it’s chronic, find a doctor who specializes in this. It’s probably just stress.
Quick remedy: 64+ oz of water and apple juice (great laxative, all the acidity), apples, any fruit with skin for fiber, some walnuts or almonds for fat, and a lot of hot’n'sour Chinese soup (the kind with the bamboo shoots and spices, but watch the sodium). Trust me, you’ll go with that.
I don’t think you’d need an enema (sp?), but suppositories are supposed to work in 6-12 hours or something, but you have to be really careful with those. Ask your doctor if you might have IBS or chronic constipation. And avoid straining, you might get hemorrhoids.
And I hope you’re joking about stopping eating, because that would make it even worse. The bloating would be magnified tenfold and when you eat, you wouldn’t be able to go. Pain.
